Hey I drive a 2005 g35 coupe and I have a recent problem with my car. When ever I go over pot holes or bumps, there seems to be a rattling noise from underneath the car. Like something is loose. I took it to two different mechanics but they can't seem to find the problem. I spent 2 hours at one garage trying to figure out what it is. Even then they couldn't still find out. I was going to take it to a infiniti delaership but It"s going to be really expensive and I am on a tight budget. So i decided to try my luck here! If you have any information on this let me know. Thank you very much.

 

Underneath the car is a very loose idea as to where the rattling is coming from. Any chance you could try to pinpoint WHERE under the car it's coming from?

 

prolly motor mounts... thats what i'm having.

 

The sound is coming from near the driver side underneath

 

I have the same problem and someone said it may be the bushings tied to the compression rod.

 

Any chance you could get some video or audio of what the sound is like?

 

probably something suspension related if it only happens when your going over a bump..

I'm getting a nasty rattling sound under the passenger side of my car, assuming its a loose heat shield or blown gasket... hmm

 

might wanna try shaking the exhaust around real hard, could have a bad cat breaking apart.
