Get rid of it ASAP.

Thanks guys.

I topped the car off with oil yesterday and nothing popped up, but the CEL popped up because of oil issues. Infiniti says that it has oil issues, the salesman admitted it had oil issues and even the code says oil issues. With that said...the car has oil issues.

UPDATE

In attempt to save his face, the salesman offered to take the car to a dealership of my choice. I said Infiniti of Gwinnett and he immediately agreed. I told him straight up that we want to return it and he agreed. He only wants to get the motor checked to "clear" his name and prove he doesn't sell poor products. It's funny because he already admitted to lying to me.

One of his managers tried to tell me that some cars don't sludge up or even need a oil change for that long! I quickly told him to go die in a fire.

I'd report what your "friend" did to you to the dealership GM. Who knows after this $hit you're going through they might offer you a different car at a deeper discount for your troubles.

Just adding to the chorus here, but return it. Don't touch anything else.

Thanks guys, car is in their hands. He is taking it to the dealership and having it checked and serviced to save face. Going to get the paperwork done tomorrow and hope to have another G37S this month. The funny thing is that HE IS THE DEALERSHIP GM.

Take it back. Spread the word that he did this. Craigslist, local advertisements, whatever you want to do. Do not let him do it again. Friend or not...he sold you a bad car knowing full well that it had issues. If you let it go, he'll just do it again to some unsuspecting customer.

If I were in his position (I wouldn't be to begin with, because what he did is fvcked up), I would take the car to the stealer and have it repaired at MY cost for the customer. That's not right to sell a car and then just expect somebody to take a hit for those kinds of repairs.

Yikes!!! Glad you are able to get as far away as possible from the car! I would definitely post reviews about that dealership and if it is some national brand dealership I would definitely contact the national corporation and complain

Is this an Infiniti dealership? Or is it some used car lot? If it is an authorized Infiniti dealership then you should report it to Infiniti Consumer Affairs. $hit like this is what really ruins the used car market for everyone.

It was from a used car lot. If this was a real Infiniti dealership, it would've been hell.

For anyone interested here's the VIN so you can be careful just incase.
It's a Platinum Graphite 2008 G37S 6MT
