Nissan needs to fire their design studio if they keep putting out cars like the cube! I'd be embarrassed to drive most of the latest fugly models they've put out....Gary
The Cube isn't a new development. It's been selling for over a decade in Japan. It's just now come stateside.
I've driven the Cube. It's actually a lot more fun to drive than you'd think. And had nearly as much room as my mom's old Toyota Sequoia did.
What other models do you consider "fugly?" The 2012 Maxima and Altima are very attractive in my opinion. The only ugly models currently on the market are the Murano and the new QX.
As far as this topic, I've heard rumors of a smaller displacement V6, and twin turbos. Nissan is planning on going back to the old-school design the 300zx had.

ive heard this as well
A test mule has been spotted sporting a diesel (probably not for US). "Insiders" have hinted a mid 400hp version and the IPL could be as high as 530hp but thats not going to come without a price tag comparable to the C63 (60K+).
