Angry False accident report.

Hey guys,
A couple days ago I had my car appraised at a dealership and they gave me an autocheck saying that there was an accident report filed under its VIN on 05/12/2009. The accident was reported in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
I'm the only owner on the car and got it back in 2006 with 12 miles on the odometer. I bought it from South Bay Infiniti and have never taken it outside of California so I know this accident is false. No one else drives the car either...
So the dealer says that there's no way for me to clear up the auto history so I'm stuck with a trade in value 3k less than KBB value.
Does anyone know if there's a way to remove the reported accident from my vehicle's history? If so, how?
If you guys have any idea what I could do, I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks!

Yeah seriously. I honestly think the police officer in Tennessee made a mistake while filing his police report. But the fact that the dealer says there's no way for me to remove it pisses me off. -_-

Could the dealer be bullshitting just trying to get the car for nothing??

Hey i work for the local nissan dealership
I used to be a used car manager and we would get those type of cases all the time
You need to contact carfax and explain to them the situation. Theyll ask you for proof of ownership and other info but you should be able to get that cleared.
Pm me if u need further assitance
