Have you ever installed Extended studs??? if so... then HELP!
So I want to get more aggressive with my wheel spacing - cant use regular spacers bc the back center of my wheels are flat and do not have the holes for the regular studs to sit if I were to use a regular spacer with extended studs already pressed in.
My solution to this is extended studs- I see many people use them- but Iv never installed them before, cant find a DIY on here, nor know what to look for in quality. (not trying to have a wheel fall off- its happend before and not fun )
so my questions are 1) are they as easy to install as i think? Just pop the old ones out and pull the new ones in? like in this video...
the guy seems a bit unsure when the video is over haha so if anyone has advice... im all ears.
Then question 2) does it really matter who makes them? Iv seen them on ebay for $20-$150
but the only thing that should really matter is the hardness of the metal correct? I mean can nismo really make a better 10.9 or 12.9 hard stud than ARP, Nissan, Ichiba, etc...or is it all relative and just paying for the name.
also, if any vendors are reading this- feel free to pm me, or post with what you have- looking for 10pc and 50-60mm
Thanks in advance for the help.

i installed ichiba extended studs on my s14.
never before have i installed nor replaced studs. but if you can take off the caliper and rotor, and do basic brake jobs, you can change studs. simply because all you need is a hammer. and yes, you just hammer them out. stick the new ones in, thread a nut onto it, and start locking it to help push the stud through. i did this step again with the wheel on (washers would do) to make sure they were on tight. after driving a little bit on the new studs, I took the wheel off and rechecked to make sure all was tight.
overall very easy.

by the way, i have a friend who has asked me to sell something for him locally (craigslist SF Bay area)
They are H&R 20mm spacers with extended studs that he was going to use on his G37 Coupe. they are brand new, and if you need them or are looking I can ask him if he's cool with me shipping it.
this isn't marketplace, so just pm me if you want, so I can contact my buddy.

yeah but too lazy for that lol. i actually just mentioned them because he just handed them to me one day and said sell them. but he's not in a rush and neither am I so I haven't even put an ad up on craigslist for them yet. they're just sitting in the garage.
anyway gl. shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes a corner. unless they're really stubborn in which case just keep hammering. be sure to keep the car stable on jack stands.
