For me and my girlfriend, we entertained the typical(is series, tl, even lexus gs's), and we drove them all, and was thorughly impressed with the tl and the g35. I talked her into the g35, as it's rwd, has IMO a bigger aftermarket, and overall has a better bodyline and overall presence on the road than a tl. The g35 has a timeless appeal. In 10 years, the 03-08 tl will look dated imo, where the g/s curvy appearance will still look pretty good with the times. And also nissan auto's are far more reliable than honda automatics, everyone knows that lol.

Lmao... I wish bro. I sold my 1st G almost a yr ago to UPGRADE to a BMW 335i coupe... Worst decision ever. Nothing but problems out of it. So after 9 months and 4 major shop visits for the Bimmer I decided that was enuf for me. I found a high mileage 07 coupe in excellent condition and picked it up for a steal. Using this as my daily driver until the engine gives out and I can put a new drivetrain in then Super Charge this b!th. As soon as I owe less than the 335 is worth I'm selling this POS... May use it as a trade in toward my wifes next car. Sad that the G has like 90K miles on it and is more reliable and will probably last way longer than a car with less than half of that mileage.

I lived in DC & commuted every where via public transportation since owning a car in the city is a waste. Honestly never cared abt cars before I bought the G. Had a 95 civic fresh out of high school and that was from point A to B car when I lived in the Bahamas. I'm sure I saw them but cars were not important at all back then so it was a blah thing to me.

Started off with an '04 echo in 2006. Thought it was the best thing ever as it was the only new car I could afford. My best friend has money so his dad gave him the g. I totalled the echo and had to get an'97 corolla that was the most solid and reliable pos. in July my friend bought a new car and didn't care much for the g anymore. Saw him one night and he said he wanted to get rid of his g, so I bought it 2 days later for 1 grand. It's been babied ever since.

Was looking at a Acura tl, jeep grand Cherokee hemi, the g35x. Tl looked great but fwd was a big turn off. Loved the jeep then I took out the Infiniti and loved it. Living in ny awd was a must for me. Quick and stylish. Ended up getting the jeep for my girl.

IS300 felt cheaper to me than the G35. The IS300 was also at the end of it's life, while the G was just being born.
I also shopped the IS300 but the G had more room, more power, and was the same price for a newer model. Shopped Cad CTS also but the driving experience just didn't compare.

There is no other Japan made sports sedan with 6MT, RWD and an exisiting factory warranty. :-)

Also the price. Mine was about the same price as a brand new loaded MS3 or a base WRX (which I thought about getting). I would say the G35S is a better car amount them.

And the V36 Sedan just looks goooooooooood

Funny, I fell in love with the G35's when they first came out, and then I saw the coupe. I still have the brochure for the coupe from before they even arrived here. I knew then and there I would have one some day... Then in 2008 I got an altima coupe because the profile was so similar, and it was FWD. At the time I didn't want a RWD as my only transportation in case of bad weather. Then last year my wife got an EX35 with AWD, so the need for FWD was gone. This year I traded up for the G37 coupe and it feels like the realization of a dream I have had for over 10 years now.

BEEF you really got your G for 1 grand? What a friend to practically "give" that car to you.. I fell in love with RWD cars when I had my '84 Nissan 300zx. Also had a '87 BMW 325e. Both these cars handled so well I've autocrossed them both. BMW, though is such a pain to work on.. while Nissan is very basic and well designed. Plus my 300zx NEVER broke down and I drove it hard. So when the 350z came out I naturally wanted one for daily driver/autocross car. But in my late 20's knew I may someday have a kid and would need a rear seat too. So G35 it was easy to decide. Now I can haul my girl around in the back seat and still race on the weekends, what a sweet deal.
