Specific radar frequencies.
Eh guys. I've got a bel stir plus and it has the ability to scan only specific frequencies above and beyond "just" x, k, ka, pop etc. ka specifically breaks into about 8 different frequency ranges, all of which are scanned in series when the device is in operation.
Obviously the fewer frequencies being scanned, the faster the device scan scan the resident threat frequencies.
Do you guys have any strategies in finding this information? Any resources you use in particular?
Thanks.

Not up there you wouldn't have... the car is currently in BC and has been for almost 2 years. I work up there but like so many others fly back and forth from home every week.
I also have a STIR plus, as well as a redline.
Most states don't use X anymore, but there are some boonies where they still use it, so I'd confirm that the police don't use X anymore in your area.
Leave K on
Ka is split into 10 segments. I only run 2,5,8. (I believe that's them, i haven't changed it in a long time). These are the frequencies that the Ka radar unit should be within when they are tuned accurate. If they are out of these frequencies, then they are not tuned and can be contested in court. I've yet to have this happen though.
Here's a list of different areas and the bands that have been spotted. I think it's about a year old at this point, but it should still be good to use.

Don't forget that even in BC they are starting to use LIDAR (laser) . It doesn't matter how good your radar detector is, most LIDAR systems are not kept on all the time, they just zap you when they see you so by the time your radar detector beeps the cop would already know at what speed you were going. That's why I don't buy radar detectors anymore, the troopers here use laser, so it's kind of pointless.

Thanks aa- that's actually the same site I hyperlinked
great minds think alike I guess eh!And yes bc / van area is very attached to their laser... And the sea to sky highway is a heaven. Most of the ka bands are 35.5 and 34.7... Which helps me deal with the quick freq scanning.
Thanks again guys!
