My kind of luck :(
My kind of luck :(
Well where the hell do I start? I got a call on Thursday that the car I purchased (2005 G35 Sedan) had been involved in odometer fraud. I'm so pissed because I actually trusted the guys I bought the car from. It was going for $6,500, which at the time of the ad said it was 140,000 km's. OMVIC called me and told me that the car had been licensed two years ago with a reading of 230,000 km's. Now that's a 90,000 km difference, not to mention the car began to leak oil as soon as it got home. They assured me that these guys will be charged and locked up due to them doing it more than once. I'm taking them to small claims court to file a claim against them because at the time they said they were used car dealers but was selling this car outside of their jurisdiction because of the taxes we'd both have to pay. Soon to find out that every word that came out of his mouth was a lie.
So guys please do your research and do your CARFAX because you never know what could happen. He brought a used car package along at the time I was buying it but clearly had everything made up.

That sucks! I don't think Carfax is always up to date but it sure is nice to have something/someone to fall back on when you get cheated for something like this. I am happy that you were contacted and told the truth about your car. Props to the company that did their job.
