No problem.

He would have done well to let you keep him anonymous instead of chiming in when you hadn't even named him.

The texts posted by him as well as his admissions to how he packed, when presented to PayPal, will reinforce your claim.

Another thing you may want to do is quote all of his posts here so that you can quickly direct a PayPal representative to the original thread if asked. While he can edit and change the original content, he can't change what you've quoted.

Was gonna do that, all the meaty stuff already looks quoted by other members. The copy of the posts I took as a PDF are time stamped as well, should be enough.

I can't decide if I want to laugh or cringe at the whole flower thing... It's like: "I wanted to use a condom but I didn't figure it would handle the load so I used a burrito instead."

In his defense I suppose he could have done something REALLY stupid and packaged them with live hand grenades and the (tiger) from life of pi- but flowers takes a close second.

Flowers are a bit pricey, I wonder if leaves or grass would work?

And for our friends in the freezers I guess you guys could use snow??

You have the seller admitting to improper packaging.

You'll win.
Good advice

Don't worry, if anything gets erased I'll make sure to resurface it. To the seller, shame on you. As far as I'm aware, the post office doesn't sell bargain leaf and flower petals as an alternative to bubble wrap or packing peanuts

OP, PM me if you wish to see if we can come to some sort of agreement with the seller.

i already tried to get to an agreement with him but only thing he wants is 100 back for him to buy ss lines. i told him i have a nother set of oem lines but he dont want them. =|

like i said before i diddnt use the flowers as packaging material. the whole thing weighted 105 pounds nothing was gonna make any difference.. if i put peanuts or buble wrap was gonna be the same anyways whatever.. he know he just doing this to upgrade to ss lines i offer him 50 refund he dont want it.

Shipped things way heavier & worth alot more than that. You could of easily used cardboard in between each rotor & also as a barrier to keep them from smashing into the calipers if using one box as it seems you did. Then add a bunch of crumpled newspaper to cushion the calipers all around. Your choice to use flowers is just plain . The cost of those packaging material is free & if you can't get extra used boxes & newspaper for free than

rotors and calipers got to his house safe.. i put foam on the lines to protect them it wasnt enough ok.. hey i give you another set of lines, no i want $100 to buy SS lines. you guys are just looking at his side, the flowers w/e has nothing to do they got damage ok it happens i have received stuff from big companys damage and i heard this all over the inter et from different people and they basically replace it. if u buy a set of xxr rims and one gets *** up through the shipment is no ones fault but buyer shouldnt expect to received volks as replacement merchandise. no one does this and i wasnt expecting it from another member.

I looked at both sides. You're in the wrong for improperly packaging.

I can completely understand OP's stance, after seeing y'all's back and forth, of not wanting to deal with you further. You're seriously asking him to come out of pocket with more money to ship the broken stuff back in order for you to send him another set of used lines that may very well be just as messed up.

I'd give up and go through PayPal as well.

The big difference between you receiving damaged goods from "big companies" and him receiving damaged stuff from you is that those "big companies" properly package items. You can't blame a shipping company for the items shifting inside the package and damaging because the packaging was sub-par.

Your analogy is dumb. He's not asking for a "set of Volks to replace damaged XXR's." He was technically giving you a cheaper out, as the OEM lines sourced from a dealer are more expensive than stainless lines.

Quit digging your hole, and pay the dude 100 bucks and end this amicably.

Hint to seller: Use the flower petals on girls, not people you sell your brakes to. I can almost guarantee it will go infinitely better that way
