Nice 6-series!! That is one BMW that I have never driven.

Side-note... I saw an M6 last night and the crazy thing was, my almost-stock G35 was faster than it!!! True story! It was stopped at a light and I drove past, going at least 10 mph faster than him

I arranged to buy something from someone I found online last night. The crazy thing was, I was happy to drive out to meet him. With gas prices as they are, that is unusual for me. I totally saw the guy admiring my ride after I parked. I was thinking to myself - "yep ", with a smug confidence that I don't have with my other cars.

Love the ride, gas here is 97 octane. This thing feels like a monster.

I was racing a parked 458 Italia last night, he didn't even last in my rear view mirror more than 10 seconds.

Thumbs up Aaaahhhh the drive

I loooove driving my G I named him Pegasus be cause he flies. Taking my car for a drive on Fridays to me is therapy after working long hours I look forward to it. Too bad I don't meet people here in Md. That like to do the same. There's a back road that I love testing my cars performance on and I also use to get a feel for the new mods I install. Well I gotta go I need to take a drive. Brooks out.

I was shocked when I first read your post, but then I realized, you were probably driving the G35 when you left that 458 standing still. People don't realize it but these cars are fast!!! Nice work Sam!

Right now, I'm just driving my G as-is and working to pay off bills. Eventually, I want buy some new 19" wheels/tires, maybe a 5/16" plenum spacer, and then just get the car fully updated with maintenance. I'll be happy with that

Eno, what has changed?

I still own my first car after college, a blue 2000 Civic Si. I used to love driving it, and I sill like it, but it's not the same. I upgraded the suspension for better/firmer handling (and it handles really well) and put in a new trunk surface. I think the combination caused more clunks and rattles coming from the trunk area. That led to a sharp decline in my enjoyment of just going out for a nice drive. For me, personally, if I could take the time to just sort out the small issues and get the car back to basics (a quiet, nice driver), I would enjoy it more.

With the G, that is what I am trying to do... Leave the car comfortable and close to stock, and just enjoy driving it. I don't know, just a thought.

Man I know exactly how you feel. When I bought my sedan less than a week later I crashed it causing over $6'000 in damage. It was in the shop for a week and I just couldn't accept the fact that I crashed it and kept looking at pictures of the car on my phone dreaming of the next time I'll get to drive it.

It was like someone gave me a taste of something so amazing and then took it away from me and I was being teased by looking at pictures of it but not be able to drive or sit in it.

This is kinda how I felt
