Cool Does anyone just want to go for a drive?...

I'm a new G owner. I have been shopping for a G35 coupe for 7 years, and waiting, and finally now have the money to buy one. I have drooled over sports cars all my life. My other cars are a 2000 Civic Si (tastefully modded) and '93 Civic DX (getting sold).

My G35 coupe 6MT came with short AEM intake and exhaust. It is kinda loud, but sounds pretty aggressive. I am 35 years old, so I don't want a rice car. I like the sound when I'm passing or hitting some twisty roads, but otherwise, it is a bit loud for me. Still, I will deal with it. I love the car... the torque, the comfort, the dark tint on the windows, the aggressive-at-times engine sound, the HID lights, the driving position/shifter, the luxury features, the solid feeling suspension, better steering ratio, the clean lines, the cool Nav screen that rises out of the dash, etc. Yes, there are things I don't like, but it doesn't matter too much. I sit here at work, hoping that we will get some dry weather, and thinking... I just want to go for a drive!!!

Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way?

Sorry to hear about the loss!!
After the abuse my Si has taken for years while parked in public spaces, I am very scared to drive my G35 anywhere! I don't even drive it to work much and forget about me bringing it into a city.

I have to admit... When I drive the Si, I think to myself "Why did I buy a new car?". The Si is still so good. Sometimes I feel torn but I do love it when I'm driving the G.

^ Appreciate it! I know all about losses. This was my delsol back in the day that was stolen while I was deployed in 06. I know its just a desol, but it was fully built by myself and made 417hp to the wheels. I took the fuel pump fuse and ECU out before I left. They came with a truck and stole it during the night.

They found it a week later stripped to the bone!

Now my G has lojack and I have a house with an alarm.

My DD, although I'm bent over at the pump paying 4$ a gallon at best. It still puts a huge smile on my face every time I give it a little gas, take a nice corner, or turn heads going down the road.

^ Judging by the weather lately up here that time is coming- still cold buuuuuut not bad!

Back in bc it's raining like crazy and I've found my new front tires (well- new to me) don't like water at all- its hydroplane city- so the car just sits there... Looking forward to hearing the sound of money exploding (to the tune of 1.40/ liter) again soon!

Yeah if only gas was cheaper then I'd be out riding just for the fun of it, with no destination in mind. And it will definitely be a bonus when spring and summer come along instead of 30-some degree temps.

I'm away on holidays till mid april. I wish I can just go & drive mine. I have lots of work to do.
I either gotta finish vinyl wrapping it (rear bumper & mirrors left) or strip the whole thing back to DG. I have to install my stance coils, camber & toe arms. ART pipes. Shockwave TDX. I'm also considering 06+ tails. Not sure.

Do you ever bring yours to fort? Or you keep it I'm BC?

Ps. Not really complaining. This is quite fun to be honest lol

Nice work... didn't realize 3M put out a BMW Vinyl wrap!

As for my car... It'll never come to the mac... but it'll be back in Alberta in a few months provided things go the way they should. We'll have to meet up at one of the Alberta meets in Edmonton or something. You still doing that BP kit?

Lol yeah I wish, only if the wrap made it as fast & fun as this one too!

I will be in Edmonton for the opening meet early May, will you be there as well? Also do you ever come to the city in fort mc or are you always on site?
I'm really worried about taking the car to Edmonton, I cracked two rims there last year. The roads are MUCH worse right now, reading 780tuners seems like its a warzone.
As for Boosted Performance kit its still a yes. Just a matter of being able to drive the car to Edmonton. So I'd say when I'm back mid April.
