That's a side job, when it comes to insurance they don't relip wheels. So they will add the price of a new wheel if not a new tire as well. That car can be fixed for very cheap if done by someone you know on the side. New door from the junkyard shouldn't be too expensive. New lip 150 bucks and the rear panel lets say 2500 to 3000 all in.

But take that and x4 if done by insurance appraisers.

Damn rights I would be too. Car would never drive the same. & you can always get more from insurance than actual value.

OP just make sure you remove the wheels AFTER they appraise it lol

generally insurance will not cover aftermarket wheels correct? unless the person explicitly adds the wheels or any aftermarket mods onto the premium. so op would get appraised for the cost of oem wheels?

They just called and it's not official, but they said it's totaled. They're calling back tomorrow to tell me it's definitely totaled and to start negotiating. I'm dealing with the woman's insurance which is Electric Insurance Co (for GE employees) they seem great so far and they said they would reimburse me for my wheels. Worse comes to worth the stock wheel and tire that came with my car is $1300 from the dealership. New lip will be about $200

Your insurance wouldn't if you didn't add them to the policy correct, however its not his insurance who's paying for the car, so might as well milk the shiit out of them

2006 STi are nice, but would definitely prefer a G37.

Make sure you post pics!

Dam, you got a bit roughed up there man.
theres so many little things tht could have taken wear but arent quite broken yet that its safer for you to just part out with this g imo. Good luck

I'd cry if that happened to my G, but seeing as it wasn't your fault and you're upgrading your ride then it's not so bad. lol

Any update / pics of what you ended up replacing your G with?

A picture of my NEW guys. 2008 G37s black on black 6mt. Amazing car! Insurance paid out about $16.5k on my 2005 G35 with 125000 thanks to some negotiation. The G37 has 113xxx miles, was used A LOT on the highway, but its still in pretty good shape and I don't expect the highmiles to cause any problems. Got the car for 17.5k so all in all I'm back in business. Got my D2 20k/12k coils yesterday and expecting my new lip for the Kranze today or tomorrow.
Got the car March 20th, and I've enjoyed it so far!
