I have been looking all over to see if they did an episode with the G 35 coupe or G but I cannot find one anywhere. So I was wondering if anyone else knows if they took to car around the track or commented about it at all.

 

Think this has been commented on before, G is primarily marketed in US, so it never appeared on that show (correct me if I'm wrong guys). There is an episode with the 350z, if I recall right they didn't like it too much...

I'm a Top Gear fan, and am particularly fond of the crazy antics they get up to as well as what they get away. That being said, Jeremy Clarkson often referred to the 350Z as a Datsun with a Renault engine, which proves what he knows about the car.

 

they don't like the g. however, they also use the term "wall paper paste" to describe a lexus. they hate american cars and dislike japanese cars. then again, they love the the new brz/frs. i guess they're more into slow smaller engined cars with better handling.

 

I seem to remember he like the 370 pretty well...

 

I just think they like the frs/brz because it was a team effort between 2 companies.

 

He liked the car, hated the engine. Something about screaming banshees in a box.

I believe they tested the 350z convertible against the s2000 and the audi tt and didnt like it much. If i remember correctly, they tested one that wasnt a final production model and some changes were made by nissan after the show.

Jeremy liked the 370z for the track but not on the streets (too loud and harsh ride). He preferred the bmw z4 over the 370z.

 

They did show the concept pic of the g37 on the show and they said it resembled that Lexus roadster and it was hideous.

 

The g37 is pretty crappy looking stock so yeah. And they all drove around in a 350z in various episodes. May and Clarkson thought the engine sounded harsh (I agree, the great sound is all in the exhaust engine sounds rough) and Hammond loves the 350z. Clarkson also didn't like it for a lot of other reasons.
