Car guys don't care if you're 20 or 60, if you like cars then you can hang out, you'll see that at car shows. We used to have a couple of guys who were past 50 when I was in a Mustang club here in New York and their age never really mattered, they were pretty cool and handy too!
I think it's pretty cool you get to hang out and work on your cars with guys from the neighborhood.

To be honest, you get a slight power increase but it's not that noticeable. To me what has done the greatest difference that I can feel was installing the Transgo shift kit on my auto a couple of months ago. THAT was a night and day difference in how firm the shifts can be if really step on it.

Doesn't seem like too expensive of an upgrade. How much did your shop charge to install it?
My issue is that it just doesn't feel like I have much power until I reach the middle of the RPM range so take off seems a little slow and then she really kicks in and takes off. A plenum spacer (from what I have read) will help a little on the low side of the RPM range. Not really sure what else I can do for that take off power.

Kerry....Mr. Plastic Dip! lmao
Kerry, you won't realize any gains until you get the Motordyne spacer! Like I've mentioned a gazillion times, "it corrects Nissan's design flaw!" Since I've been on DRIVER that mod has alway been, "the best bang for your buck." Only better mod is an Osiris tune after all your breather mods have been completed! I have no one on my block that works on their cars just doctors, cops and a Major in the Army that's never home.

The MD Spacer is next on the list. I am debating on the Osiris tune for the time being because currently I live in southern California and am moving to Denver this summer. While the ECU "should" compensate for the barometric change, I am highly considering waiting on the tune until I am in Denver. Certainly open to feedback on that.

You could look into a drive shaft upgrade to help with that immediate power feeling Kerry. There are a couple 1 piece aluminum options out there (and CF options that are a bit overkill). You can google some dyno sheets from Z1's driveshaft, there should be quite a few over on my350z.
Definitely check out the tune Gary mentioned, very beneficial.
