This is why I deleted all of my info from FB. Random people don't need to see where I work, don't need to see where I went to college, and can't have ppl thinking I only went to high school; deleted.

Which kinda sucks of you are someone who purchased the car when it was well out of reach of such individuals.

It's almost like you don't want to be lumped into the same group when you say you are a g35 enthusiast.

I agree when it comes to taking a beautiful car and putting cheap crappy mods on it and calling it nice. I have always been a fan of originality for the most part. With my G35 i have decided to do the plenum spacer, pop charger, transgo, and a nice setup from fast intentions for the exhaust and then call it a day. That to me will be a very nice daily drive. None of which are cheap but I do it because the car means more to me than some image. I love the way this engine sounds.... I chose the g35 over the g37 strictly on the sound alone... call me crazy but I love it. and i do NOT want to ruin it. I don't fall into the category of the young guys who mod cheaply especially because this g35 isn't my only car but sometimes this is the way things go. My neighbor (really cool russian guy) told me, "anyone stupid can make money or come into money, but to spend wisely takes brains" thats the way I think. I think about what I do and how much of an impact I will make with my decisions. Once all of the jokers are weeded out, it leaves the people that matter. My G35 will be nice and look all original on the outside... to me that's beauty! so as we (you) and (everyone) sit on these forums and deal with the day to day people trying to put a $200 ebay exhaust and intake to make 50WHP, we will know who truly cares about the car for what it is.

No one said you were man. All anyone is saying is that quality has decreased as more dumbazz high school kids have acquired G35s, and that most of them prefer facebook to a forum which is why the forum is dying.

thats fair man, I hope i didn't come off like I was offended because i'm really not. I didn't take this thread or comments as an impact towards me. sometimes typing this stuff out just comes off stern but I don't mean it in that way.

I suppose i am passionate toward the subject is because, Im 25. I consider that to be extremely young. however, I own 2 of my favorite cars, my house, and I have wife and son. I guess I am just affected because there are so many young guys my age who do exactly what some of these comments have stated. Live with parents, buy a car they can barely afford and then dump money into it to show up in front of a club to get attention lol. For me its about the machines. I don't care if dan and joe don't like what I drive etc etc. and I have been fortunate to have owned some very nice cars.

I respect the people of this board who have been here since the start, I guess what I am going for is hope that the enthusiasts don't let the forum fall.

So u bought the g35 over the g37 bc the v35 sounded better yet ur gonna put an exhaust on anyway? Also how is it u plan to be original. Everything u said ur gonna do is pretty cookie cutter already

I don't have FB for many reasons. Privacy being my main concern. I don't need randoms prying into my life (you'd be surprised how many people do that). My only "social" outlet I use is Instagram and I refuse to post my family or anything personal.

Many people will claim several reasons as to why the forum activity has declined. I believe it has been due to the age of the car (11 years) and how easy the car is attainable now. A lot of the OGs have spent top dollar to have their car look the way it is. You all know who they are

You also have the crowd that slams a car, buys wheels and dials stupid camber and that garbage gets more activity than someone doing something custom or completely different. It makes no sense.

Facebook is overrated, I'd prefer a library of information which this forum provides as long as you know where to look. I'm currently on 2 G35 FB groups and they're both dead.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I'm 30 myself and just got my G35 two weeks ago and absolutely love it. I've found tons of information here and love reading all the comments. A lot of you guys that's been here for years have inspired to me customize my G with quality parts and great DIY so I can enjoy doing it myself. Hope this forums continues with the right crowd and maybe the younger people will change their ways.

I been selling cars for 11 years now. I see the love for cars change every year. Personally I'm the type that has a car until I run it into the ground. Last car had 260000+ miles. Planning to do same with this one was I'll try to do my part and keep active
