TPMS reset with tire change?

Of course I've had the annoying TPMS light on for months now.

But I'm also due for some new tires.

Will the tire shop reset my TPMS or do I have to do the procedure myself?

You should not have to reset the sensors with new tires. It's possible that one of them has taken a sht. When I got new wheels w/tires they transfered my sensors over and no lights went off. About a year later the light went on and it was because one went bad.

I've read where quite a few people here have the "forever on" light and fix it by doing a TPMS reset (ground out the TPMS wire 5x then drive for 10 minutes).

Just wondering if that's what I need to do or if the tire shop will do it.

According to their website, basic installation includes:
tire mounting, valve stems, TPMS reset, lifetime balance and rotation.
