I'd love to get a new car too. But the thing I love about the G35 is that it's free. No car payment for the last 5 years liberating and the 35 still gets compliments all the time!

Your G looks maad good love the mod choices. I have a 04 coupe with 65k miles some mods and been thinking of upgrading to the g37 too but they're becoming harder to find in stick which is all I would want and most have the black leather which is gonna be crazy hot in the summer and unfortunately they don't have cooled seats which I would love to have too but I do like the g37 interiors better so it's a tough decision. I'm gonna keep my g35 for at least a couple more years I think at this point.

The main downsides for me with the G35 at this point (at least the 04 I have) is the interior electronics. No bluetooth, USB, or auxiliary audio inputs in the car is a downside for me. Having to use the cassette adapter for music!

And normal wear and tear through the years like leather, door trim, and parking lot dings.

But it still drives and handles great. And I like the looks better than the later years.

It is my "second" car now, though. I wanted something with the electronics, and more usability for day to day usage.

Yeah I'm using the tape adapter for my ipod too. The worst is actually the 05-07's as they have no tape player or aux input. I would love to have Bluetooth and USB ipod interface, def my next G. I only have 61k miles on my 04 coupe but so far not one problem leather and everything is holding up well.

^ just install a USA spec adapter and your problem is solved! No tape player needed!

There's lots of options for adding AUX/Bluetooth input. Double din conversion, iPod interface module, or even something as simple as an FM transmitter.

If anyone is thinking of doing this... You will lose more money over time. Most of us by now OWN the car... Yes we may have seen it go down in value but most of our cars still sell in the 10-20k bracket. (not many got for the 20k) If you turn around and buy a G37 you will watch it go from a 30k car to a 18k car within a matter of YEARS... That is losing 12k and you will likely have payments. Where for me 03 coupe I own it. payments are at 0 I bought it for 18k. Its worth 13-14k now. In the near future it will hover around 13... So I lost 5k in a 4 year period of time. Now I can maybe get a little more in the 20k range if I sell it because its completely modded out. new interior, exterior is a widebody (some hate it) I will be painting it and putting it on air soon. Therefore LITERALLY EVERYTHING IS NEWISH ON IT... O and its boosted with a new motor... But I would lose more money by switching cars. IF swapping cars is your thing LEASE a car for 2 years. You will have no skin in the came and be in the car only 6-10k over that 2 year period of time.

I know this thread is over but might as well add my 2 cents for anyone else thinking about the same, In my opinion the 35's look so dam good. I think to this day they look great and way better than the 37's. I think they will look great for many years to come, they don't age like so many other cars.

Agreed I stopped looking at 37s. I would only keep putting money in it the same way I am the 35 and get not much farther in life.
