Take off the resonator and replace the muffler with a magnaflow that has the same configuration.

The Magnaflow can provide a nice deep sound and not too loud.

Not sure if you'd be a Guinea pig of just a dumb azz for spend $200= on a cheap/thin wall exhaust system for your coupe? Magnflow replacement muffler is your best choice for changing the sound although it may not be enough for you to notice.

Here's what you should do

First go to the private classified section to see if anyone has a exhaust to sell. You may find an axle back or complete system for a good price. Either setup will give you some extra oomph in the sound department but an cat back system will net you better results over an axle back system. I purchased my exotic speed from a member of this forum for $600. The retail price for the cat back system is $1300 a 2 hour drive saved me $700. I installed it myself and have been loving it for quite some time. If you can not find an exhaust in the classified section And you take the eBay route don't tell these guys because you'll get flamed for it no matter how good the exhaust may be. They believe ebay sells nothing but crap although that's a lie.
