Okay, I am seriously considering buying a G35 sedan very soon but every one I see has a steering wheel with paint chipping off.... Is this problem isolated to the steering wheel? Is there an easy fix for this?

 

Common issue.

Easy fix is to rewrap the wheel. Ok maybe that's not so easy, but it's the only solution. You can either pay a shop to rewrap it, or try and get something like a wheelskin and wrap it yourself.

Other solution is to find a new OEM wheel, but they have been long since discontinued and rarely pop up for sale. I bought one 2 years ago on Ebay and haven't seen many since.
