A/T with downshift rev match...
Hey guys and gals, simple question:
Do the 2005's have this feature? The Infinity site doesn't list downshift rev match in the "specs" till 06, yet other sources state it became a feature in 05. So which is it, owners speak up! Thanks!

I'm like 99.999% sure that all autos in manual mode will rev-match when you downshift... They kind of have to in order to work.
Not all. I've driven a few rental cars with manual mode automatics that do not. When you downshift, the engine compression pulls the revs up rather than it rev-matching.
autos dont need to revmatch because of the torque converter
when you shift you will get a gradual pull into the gear, and all the autos at least in the g35 nissan variation have a saftey lockout. so you cant downshift into a gear higher than a specified rev range.
i dont know what year they implemented this on the manual.
but i wouldnt downshift an auto if you dont have to. no reason to stress the trans. not that they are weak, but brakes are much cheaper than any issue with the trans.
