I recently bought a Vicovation Vico-Marcus 4 UHDR XHD Camcorder and while the video quality is great, the audio is garbage. The low end response is horrible and makes my G sound like a weed eater with a trash can as a muffler. My BB10 has a better mic and I consider their mics on the low end.
I have considered using a gopro as it audio recording out of the box is quite nice and has the ability to plug in a external one. Anyone have a car cam that has great quality audio or an option to add a external mic?
I have searched here, but the threads seem to be out of date.
I do not need any feedback on why a gopro is bad for a car cam. I have already read enough of that already.
And I wrapped it in foam to reduce the wind noise.
There are special wind noise reducing covers you can get for these mics and some can cost you $50. I made one out of foam and it worked just fine. If foam would have more dense It'd probably be even better.
That particular foam is a piece of a tile grout sponge I got from hardware store
