Sounds like I have crickets in my engine?

I have a 2005 G35 Auto.

On a cold start I hear a chirping/cricket noise when I accelerate and hit a certain RPM. When I reach around 2k rpm the chirping noise will begin and continue until the car shifts.
Then the chirping noise is not heard until I reach 2k again and then it continues. It doesn't sound like a belt.

Here's a video I took. It's very high pitched so my phone has a hard time picking it up but you can barely hear it if you turn up your volume a bit.

Once the car warms up after a good 20 minutes of driving the chirping can only be heard at higher RPMS above 4,500

If anyone has any ideas on what my issue might be it would be greatly appreciated!

Well it clearly sounds like gunfire. Are you driving in the hood?

Did a little bit of troubleshooting today. I can get the sound to appear when I'm in park/neutral and rev the engine up to around 2,000 rpm. I got someone to spray the belts with water while I was revving it and the sound continues so I'm almost certain it's not the belts.

Maybe it's a pulley bearing? Does anyone know of a good method to locate which bearing might be making the sound?

Thanks.

Bearings in a power steering pump, A/C compressor, waterpump, alternator or possibly an idler pulley could cause this. Usually if that's the case, it does it more when it's cold out though (Except for waterpump) and isn't normally RPM-specific although high RPMs can make it cause the belt to squeal as the resistance of the problem pulley causes belt slippage.
