What is the advantage of going with a wrap over a quality paint job? I have a 03 G35 sedan. She's blue, thinking of going flat black. I may do a "Wrap" on my back window with my business logo anyways so it got me thinking....Thoughts?

advantage is if you don't like it. You can go back to your normal color. but I'd reconsider going matte black, doesn't look all that great on our cars, as it tends to mask many of the unique lines our cars feature

 

The only benefit to a wrap is the fact that it is removable and that you will save some money if you want a pearlescent color or something expensive to paint. A major downside is it does not last forever...

There is a new alternative called autoflex. You can't tell it isn't paint, you polish and wax it like paint... But it is peelable. It also lasts the life of the vehicle unlike a wrap.

Personally, I am still going to go for regular paint. I would like to try to make a paint booth and spray some autoflex myself but failed to locate a garage large enough in my budget last time. Since I fixed all of the dents and leveled everything out it shouldn't be more than 2 grand to have my whole car painted and jammed. Autoflex would probably cost me about the same in the end.

damn autoflex looks good! Might have to do my car up with that!

 

Only con is I don't know how it would hold up in the engine bay, if at all...

 

If you want long term solution, go with paint. If you have plan to go back to stock look, choose wrap.
