How bad is this tire?

Long story short, my rear wheel came off my car while driving in a private road at about 15mph. My rear was on the floor and my wheel ended up on the other side of the road. Everything seems to be fine with an exception to my rear bumper being cracked and of course my tire. My rotor was fine thanks to the metal guard behind it. It is slightly dented but my rotor has enough clearance to spin. Anyways what do you guys think about the tire damage? I'm taking it to a tire shop today.

Shop said the tires looked good and it isn't an issue or safety hazard. Thanks for the replies!

Remember what's between you and the road might save your life! That tire?

Gotta ask, how did that wheel come off or why? I lost two wheels off my TransAm, having shocks installed and the mechanic had just started the lug nuts and forgot to tighten them! Lost both front fenders and grille and could have been locked up for throwing 10 lug nuts at the mechanic that screwed up!

I would not worry about it, cut does not look deep.
It's good to have a spare laying around though, especially if you buy tires online and not the overpriced stuff usually available in local stores. I normally have a set of front and rear always in the back of the garage once my tires are close to the end of life cycle.

Similar situation. Mechanic forgot to torque the one wheel. I drove off and heard unusual knocking. Next thing I new my rear dropped and wheel rolled across the street. Luckily the only damage was from my rear bumper.
