exclamation indicated on instrument panel

2006 infiniti g35 symbol looks like a tire with an exclamation mark. what does it mean?

That's the tire pressure monitoring system symbol. If it blinks for about a minute then goes steady, then you have a dying sensor battery. If it stays steady immediately, then you have low tire pressure in one or more tires. With the weather turning cold, it's common for your tires to have low pressure, check them.

Yep, mine "reminded" me to put air in my tires two weeks ago, got cold and all 4 tires were at 31psi.

It has always seemed to me to be a difficult to interpret symbol, although now that all cars are using it,it will be better recognized. A few days ago someone at work asked what it was when they saw it their car on the way in-luckily I could be relatively reassuring and told them to get the pressure checked.
