What is the most reliable model year for the G35/7x?
I'm shopping for a G35/7x less than 15k and as low mileage as i can. Reading reviews and forums, i've heard the 08 g35x is the "sweet spot" for that model. What is the best year (reliability-wise) for the G37x?

Newer is typically 'better', both in terms of reliability (automakers often make tweaks or fixes as needed even though from outward appearances the car stays relatively the same) and 'old age' creeping in. For $15k, or at least having that max number, you could get something a lot newer than an '08, couldn't you ?
If you already know this, I apologize, but you're looking for an AWD model ? Is it necessary where you live ? Only reason I mention this is AWD is just another bit of complexity. I've not read that Nissan's AWD systems are unreliable but they certainly aren't as simple as 2WD systems.

Also keep in mind a 2008 sedan is still the G35 while a 2008 coupe is the newer G37. The platform is completely revised to a MUCH BETTER drivetrain for the G37. The 7AT is more reliable than the 5AT, the VQ37DE is more reliable than the VQ35HR.
You should definitely be looking at a G37 if you're looking for reliability, however any abused or poorly maintained vehicle will have problems so I'd say that trumps everything else.

Shop for the newest car (latest engine) under $15,000.
Don't get hung up on the mileage, and end up with an older car with low mileage.
