Hey guys, recently I’ve swapped out my transmission on my 2004 g35, it’s got the Cd005 6Sp MT and I’m just trying to figure out the best transmission fluid I should run, Thanks

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID
"O Keep used engine oil out of reach of children. If checking or replacement is required, were commend your INFINITI dealer for servicing.CAUTION O Use only Genuine Nissan Matic J ATF.Do not mix with other fluids.O Using automatic transmission fluid other than Genuine Nissan Matic JATF will cause deterioration in drive-ability and automatic transmission durability, and may damage the auto-matic transmission, which is not cov-ered by the INFINITI new vehicle lim-ited warranty. The specified automatic transmission fluid is also described on caution labels located in the engine compartment"

There's rarely anything special about gear oils - just stick to any quality brand you can get easily. Just look for GL-4 spec 75W-90 gear oil and you're good to go. Brands like Castrol, Valvoline, Mobil 1 and so on are fine. If you want to pay for Amsoil, Redline, Royal Purple, etc, those will work too. They'll only hurt your wallet more....Originally Posted by Blake_Melnyk
