NEED HELP! engine swap

I blew my engine on my vq35de REVUP and Iíve been looking everywhere for engine and realized I canít just throw a normal de in there. So I could either throw a de revup in there, or I was needing to know what it would take to throw a vq35hr revup engine in there instead?? I know the hr is better but would it work?? I have a 2006 g35.

HR is basically the same as any other engine swap, engine/transmission/ecm/wiring harness.

If you want easy keep shopping for a rev-up.

Also just to verify you do have the 6MT transmission correct? The rev-up only came on the manual transmission ones.

Yes I do have a 6MT so you think the hr revup would fit my vq35de revup?

The HR is NOT the rev-up motor. HR = "high revolution".

VQ35DE
VQ35DE-REV UP
VQ35HR
VQ37VHR

All different motors, the two DE model motors have some interchangeable parts but the heads, oil pump, timing chain cover, and a couple other pieces are different. The two DE motors share the same block casting and thus are able to bolt to the same transmissions but the other motors don't have the same bolt pattern.

Also keep in mind the VQ35DE came in two major variants, the transverse (altima, maxima, etc) has wildly different motor mount locations than the longitudinal (350Z, G35, M35, FX).

Lol yeah I've said it twice now I think.

The bellhousing bolt pattern is NOT THE SAME on the DE and HR motors, if you want to put a HR motor in it's going to be the same procedure as any other engine swap, same as putting in a 2JZ, same as putting in an LS, or any other motor that's NOT a VQ35DE.

Stick to the VQ35DE, it fits, the rev-up will literally plug right into everything already on your car.

Again though, the HR motor is NOT the rev-up motor, they're COMPLETELY different, nothing is interchangeable. (EDIT: actually I think the crank and rods can be used in either???)
