I had seen a car I was interested in buying (a 2011 G37 IPL 7AT) and had a weird feeling about the listing. The G37 badge is a G37S badge, the muffler tips are the non-ipl stock oval tips. I also had searched the VIN and it identified it as a "2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe Sport 2dr Coupe". Is this dealership trying to sell a rebadged G37 as a higher trim level?
Mufflers could have been replaced so that could easily explain the different tips. The IPL will have unique body additions (side skirts, rear spoiler, and front/rear add-ons to the lower (?) bumpers). It's also only offered in black or dark gray so "graphite shadow" could qualify.
Can you share the VIN or a link to the dealer's listing ? PM if you don't want to post it publicly.

PMed you the link. The thing throwing me off is the G37S badge, never thought they came with that?

An IPL model includes most/all of the options from the "Sport" package/trim so the "S" makes sense.
.....but, pictures I'm finding online of IPL models do NOT include this "S".
Wheels are wrong for the IPL but again, they could have been changed. Either it is an IPL that someone has made a few changes on or someone went to a lot of trouble to 'upgrade' their Sport into an IPL clone. I mean, it's got Navigation (√), the body skirting (√), Brembo-style brakes (√), color (√).
Now, if it truly is an IPL, it's a steal for the price they have on it. Hell, even if it's a Journey trim -- and not counting the options this one has -- it's a steal.

Thats exactly what I was thinkin -, the price is really nice (even for 100k mi) for an IPL which further raises my suspicions. This is the first time I've ever seen a car dealership try and sell a fake trim level [if thats the case], pretty scummy.
