air tire sensor?
air tire sensor?
well i bought new wheels and i have air sensors on my stock oem wheels. my question will some sort of light or signal turn on on my dash if i'll be using a different set of wheels with out the air sensor in them? also,is it possible to transfer the sensors to my after market wheels, or do they only work with our oem wheels?
one more lol...i bought 19x10 with a 35mm offset..will this rub? i was really lucky to get a pair at a cheap price and the only offset available was 35mm for the front and rear, i just want to make sure that these will not rub or will i have to cut my fenders? i'll be running 375/35 and 245/35 thanks

If you drive without the tire pressure sensors in the wheels, there is a light on the dash that will come on after driving for 30-45 minutes of continuous driving. It turns off again when you turn the car off.
From what I've read, the sensors fit on some wheels, and not on others.
You might get better responses over in the Wheels & Tires forum.

the light comes on in cold weather... its a real common problem for the G. mine usually comes on when its 40-50 degrees or below

Air pressure is directly effected by air temp. Your pressure will be lower in the colder weather. However, it won't fix itself. You should inflate the tires to the proper pressure. Not only is it safer, you will get better gas mileage and wear. You should check the air in your tires often; basically you should ensure that you never see the dummy light. Also, you shouldn't take the 35psi all around for face value. You should monitor the tread on your tires and find the best tire pressure for your tires. 35psi is a good base line to start. I know this is getting slightly off topic, but some of the replies concerned me.
