i'm to the point of knowing when to shift from the sound...........I still look down sometimes and shift as the needle is passing the 6K mark......i probably catch it about 6200 as well and it actually shifts at 6500 to 6600.......i dont hit the rev limiter too often, but every now and then

Is it true that doing a little grounding (not necisarily with a grounding kit) will speed up the MM shifts?

That would be a good question to ask the TS people themselves.

My car is in the shop till Nov 23rd. I'll let you know when i get it back. Ive never had that harsh shift that you're talking about though.

The reflash jsut raises the rev limiter to 7100. It doesnt speed up the shifting. For that you would need a tq converter upgrade, valve body upgrade, and a shift kit.

Pricing and info here: http://www.technosquareinc.com/g35.htm
its gonna cost you about $600

4000. But then again, I have no idea what effect regular driving at high rpms does to long term life, so I'm playing cautious.
