you can inspect everything yourself man. Just have them do the fluids and belts, forget the "inspect" crap.

I just went to get an oil change ( i have 14,300 on my 04). The Service counselor asked if I was there for the 15k service, and I said "No, just the oil change”. He wrote on the service order that I declined the 15k Service.

Has anyone had a bad experience with warranty work after declining the service? It is way over priced. and would sooner have my local shop do it. Hell, all they do in inspect stuff and change a filter or two.

Then just go to Nissan. That's where I'm going when it time for my 30k service.

I dont think "service" can void your warranty. A lot of people dont do the services, they are not required but they are "recommended". If they were required then they would probably make people pay in advance with the purchase of the car or include it in the price of the car.

K services are to just get more money out of you...i do all my own servicing and the plugs are platinum and your coolant is 5 year 100k certified...dealers look to get money so they make a K service look important...oil changes are a must and if you own a coupe you cant rotate the tires because they are staggered fit....changing your airfilter like every 6k is good or when dirty...or those of you with cold air intakes just clean and re-oil the filter...brake inspection is always done at the dealer when requested because its easy money for them...also you computer/ecu and cataliytic converters are covered under federal law for 8 year / 80k so dont get talked into anything...belts are usually changed around 50k or and if you see cracks change them...

the common g35 30k goes like this:
oil and filter service
clean throttle body
set idle(this is important, will set a code sometimes or idle high)
rotate tires(unless its a coupe)
inspect brakes(measure rotors and min. thick. on pads)
replace in cabin
lube doors
fill all fluids(underhood)
balance tires/check for leaks
replace air filter
check battery
check belts and outside lights(markers,etc)
some dealers are different and include other things
