For the '07, they'll "take it to the next level." Knowing they're not talking about the bodystyle, I can't wait to see what that means.

I wonder why they need to debut it again since they did specifically say the body changes will not be major.

I can't really think of anything important to add to the G. Hp? Too much Hp will decease MPG number. Besides, people can always buy a GTR if they REALLY need Hp.

What i mean is...the G is too close to perfect, just like the last generation Lexus GS.

Nothing is close to perfect. I have a feeling Infiniti will raise the bar yet again with the new G35.

Seeing as how the design has been a hit, they will probably start evolving it instead of totally redesigning it. Kind of like BMW, MB, and Audi tend to do with their models.

That is definitely a good thing in this case though.

That's a great find. Interesting to see that despite a new generation of car the styling will likley be more evolutionary than revolutionary. In this class of car that shows you have a winner.

Indeed^. I'm wondering if HICAS (rear-steering) will become a standard feature. Also, I could definately see a paddle-shifted, clutchless manual being an option. Obviously, it's not going to be a $70K GT-R (thankfully), so the mechanical updates can't go too far. Looking at the competition, I think the '07 will see a slight bump in power (maybe 15HP or so) and the paddle-shift option seems like a given. We'll see.

If I were in the market for a new G now, I'd definitely wait for the '07's, and yes paddle shift would be so nice.

They def will add performance! There are too many cars in our class now that are becoming competitive (can you say IS350?). If Nissan/Infiniti wants to stay on top of the sport sedan market they MUST create something that will shine!

As far as buying a GTR for HP - not many G owners will opt to spend 70K. I have been waiting for JWT TT to get CARB approval, if not I might be ready to trade for the '07.
