Yes, the seat cushion just lifts out. two retaining clips in the front spaced evenly. Just slide your hands under the seat from the front and yank up firmly. You'll hear an alarming pop, but it is no problem.

I don't think that thing weighs more that 20 lbs. I wouldn't bother if you are going to the track. Just lower the amount of fuel you race with in the tank for the same amount of weight reduction.

The seat *back* is actually bolted to the car. The seat *bottom* is removed like bltzkrg said, and its really light anyway so I wouldnt worry about the bottom.

Fold the back seat down, and at the bottom of the back there will be 2 bolts holding the seat to some metal brackets (under a carpet flap that hides all this stuff). Unbolt those 2 bolts and disconnect the seat release cable and you're set.

yeah this type of weight reduction really isnt enough to justify the time spent. I comepletely removed my trunk. like every little thing back there as well as the back seatcs and only dropped 120 lbs. So thats like 1/10th if a sec at most. It's really not worth it. if you want to take the time. Take out your passenger seat too, but becasuefule of the wiring underneath. That seat is pretty hefty though.

Of course, if you do all this, then you only know how fast 98% of your car goes down the 1/4 mile....which IMO means absolutly nothing. I wanna know how fast the whole car can go
