Hey all, just letting everyone know that my transmission is getting replaced under warranty after months of wait(long story I rather not go into). My coupe is one of the early ones. I've always had the grind but now it's gotten worse. It used to only grind occasionally from 2->3 and sometimes from 6->5 but now it does it everytime when the rpms are above 3k. They told me it's the syncro problem.

If you have a 03 6MT I suggest you test out your tranny before your warranty goes. i think Nissan should own up and just put out a TSB on this problem instead of denying that it's an issue with early G's and Z's.

 

Actually, I have a 05 G35C and I am having the same problem as conq. rpms @ 3k, the stick shakes and dealership replaced the clusth under warranty (8000km), BUT; worst got worst. I burned my clusth after I drove 1000km because the clusth padal ISN'T COMING BACK OUT. Okay, hard to explain and time to off work.
