I was wondering if you could pick and choose options and skip those pricey packages? Anyone know if this can be done? I haven't gotten very solid response from dealerships on it. I find it hard to believe that you have to get a $1000 sunroof and however much Bose sound system in order to have the intelligent key, auto headlights, blue tooth, etc. If someone could clear this up for me It would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, you can not get intelligent key/Navi without having premium pkg, and cant get areo pkg without sport-tuned suspension pkg on 5ATs.

Well then can you get the premium package and leave off the sunroof?.

 

Best thing for you to do is hit Infiniti's site and outfit your own car. You'll get errors/reminders to show you which items/packages are mandatory with certain options. The sunroof has long been required if you want the Premium Package.

The only real benefit to ordering is if you're in the same boat that I was and you can't find a dealer who has a car without the options you don't want... ...such as a hardtop without Premium or Navigation Packages.

Look into replacement parts from the dealer service center as a way to possibly pick and choose some items to install yourself, if they're a big priority.

 

I ordered my X fully loaded, but even fully loaded I couldnt get the areo package (rear spoiler) with the car from the factory.

Options come in two ways. Factory installed or Dealer installed. The factory installed ones have strict requirements such as nav/itellikey require prem package. With the G35x you have a choice between no prem package and prem C, you cant get a or b.

I got prem C, nav, sirius, chrome wheels, splash gaurds from factory and I am having the dealer install aluminum pedals, and rear spoiler when it arrives.
