There's an advantage of getting an 03 - 04 over an 05. I'm assuming you want a 6spd. The 05 6spds have 19" rims and the tires are pretty expensive. With the 03s and 04s, tires will be cheaper I have an 05 and I've been happy. I'm a turbo fan myself, that's the only thing I really regret about the car. I came from a beater...but I had a nice and modified 300ZX TT before that. The decision came down to getting another 300ZX TT, G35, and a M3. I couldn't find my exact 300ZX TT before my beater died. I felt the M3 wasn't a good value; don't get me wrong it's a nice car. I think the G35 was a good decsion.

If you are in to modding cars, the G probably isn't for you.

the only mods i was thinking was removing the badging in the rear, maybe getting an aftermarket grill with just black mesh (no badge... got a suggestion for me to look up?), progress sway bars front and rear and maybe catback exhaust for some nice throaty tones. I got all these plans and no car yet. Bah, life is difficult.

Sway, currently there is no aftermarket grill with black mesh as you speak of. The only one is the fugly billet grille's. Havent heard of anyone using the progress sways on a sedan but many of the people here are using the stillen sways and are more than happy with them. For exhaust i'd either go with stillen or a coupe middy and hks rear. even though you dont have the car, it's still good to have an idea of what you want if/when you do get it.
