Angry Looks like my G housed an unwanted guest for a while

So Im doing all the regular maintance on the vehicle this week that has ever needed to be done up to this point assuming its never been done before. So today was tranny fluid (didnt happen), oil, and air / cabin filter.

Go to pull out the cabin air filter.....

Looks like I had someone trying to make a home in my air duct. S/He's not there anymore, and as much of the air passageway has been cleaned w/ a vac...

Didnt find any droppings, so it doesnt look like they were there for long, just a quick possible overnight attempt?

I live in So-Cal, I just changed my filter at approx 20k miles. Mine was still in super good condition. I see everybody elses and they look tore. I guess since I rarely ever used my HVAC I'm good.

Man I have seen nests and loads of leaves and stuff come out of some peoples microfilters. It's amazing how much crap they can trap in there.

Behind your glove compartment. You need to remove a side moulding, then the glove compartment to get to it. 10 minute install.
