Hey guys, I was told that the 2006 navigaion (dvd) package will not play movie dvd's? But it has a dvd rom. Is there some software you can load into the system so it recognizes it. There has got to be a way to do this?

 

That is correct, the drive in the G35 will only read the map disc. If you want to hook up a DVD player then there are input adapters that you can buy, but you would also have to figure out where to install your dvd player.

 

Most NAV equipped cars are like that, meaning they only read the proprietary NAV DVD-ROM.
