ok...I have managed to totally jack the front end of my car up. Going back forth from a lifted F350 to a lowered G is the not easiest thing to do.
anyways...the bumber is all out of wack and doesnt like up...meanwhile the large plastic peice that is under the front of the car...it attaches to the bumper, runs the width of the car, and then back to just under the motor. This is thing is all but destroyed, and can't even be reattached. I have just removed the damn thing for now. my question...am I going to hurt anything by driving without this thing on? I am not going to leave it this way...but until I get get around to getting the bumper replaced...I was wanting to just leave this thing off. Thoughts?

It's serves an aerodynamic function and while it may not be detrimental to leave it off I would replace it as soon as you can.
cool. anyone know the part number? or a place where I can get a drawing of all the front end pieces?

I honestly wouldnt worry about too much...it probably will save < a MPG or something like that on the highway. Maybe when you get a chance, see how much a new part is and buy it. There was thread a while ago you might want to search for about this topic.
My Supra TT also had a similiar under piece that ended up getting shredded and eventually, the whole thing ripped off at 120mph. Never replaced it and it was fine.

Besides aerodynamics... it serves to protect the underside of your engine. No debris or road hazards can come up through it and cause any damage.

It's called an engine undercover of gravel shield. It shouldn't be that expensive. You need to buy new clips as well just to make it flash against the under carriage.

Yeah, I think it's worth it. It's an underbody diffuser for the front of the car. Like someone says, it's for aerodynamics, but also helps keep the underbody clean....crap, dirt, and mud doesn't get on the underbody of your engine. I love it in the snow. My previous cars didn't have it, and you could always see traces of snow and salt near the top of the engine bay. With this, it stays cleaner.

That is the under engine cover, I replaced mine after I hit a cardboard box at 120... Mine was all messed up and it cost me $100.00 at the stealership to get a new one. I installed it myself in my garage. It was not hard at all to install this peice. You need a 10MM rachet and a jack, thats it... Make sure you did not lose any of the bolts before you get started on it...
Here are pics of my install.
