Newb question bout exhaust...

I am looking at getting an exhaust as my first mod...I really like the HKS but dont know if I can afford that. My question is where is the best place to get that exhaust?? Or I should say the most affordable?

Also...how does the Greddy compare to the HKS sound? Basically what I am looking for is an exhaust that sounds similar to the stock exhaust just a bit louder. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would definitely start somewhere else mang.

I started with intake mods, then decided if I was going to stay N/A or go F/I (turbo, supercharger etc.) then went with more upgrades from there

I did intake, plenum and highflow cats to begin with.. than found headers and exhaust to meet my needs...

I got the Injen SES exhaust-- it didn't really meet my needs, but it is pretty much the loudest and meanest sounding exhaust...

Get a slightly used exhaust-- thats what I did.. Bought my 1k exhaust for 550$... Stillen will give you the best numbers... for an N/A I'd look at fuji

Hope i Helped

stillen fuji are great exhausts. i have the Greddy EVO II...its quiet if your ONLY running the exhaust. its maybe at stock level, but you def feel some gains with it. combined with headers and test pipes, its a great combination. Injen is too loud for most, but the main question is, are you gonna stay N/A or go FI??

Plenum spacer and intake is a good place to start.

I am going to stay N/A...I had WAY too many problems with my GTP so I am kinda scared to go FI anytime soon. Like I said I want something thats not gonna be really loud, but keeps the same similar tone as stock.

As Strtsk8r321 has previously mentioned . . . Get a plenum spacer and swap out your OEM intake. This should keep you happy per what you are looking for. If not, I would suggest looking into a Fujitsubo exhaust. The HKS sounds nothing like stock and is definitely much louder.

I had an injen exhaust, very loud very mean, but if your gonna stay N/A don't get the INJEN, you will lose low end torq (unless you WOT everytime you drive) I had the INJEN with FI in mind. Greddy EVO 2 is a bit louder than the stock if your only looking for sound. You can try the apexi N1 which is alot more affordable than most exhaust out there. Sound is pretty nice, deep tone. A bit louder than the stock.

If you want some real gain, get the MREV or the other Motordyne plenum spacers. I think its the best mod to do in terms of money to gain ratio. Best bang for the buck.

I can help you with exhausts if you need pricing, PM me if you need quotes. Thanks.
