Actually I did quite a bit of research trying to find the adaptor, but they never made it!

I even called Kent-Moore to find it using the part number in the owner's manual (LM4519-0000). They couldn't find a listing and transferred me to a higher level of technical operator. He checked several things and confirmed that the factory specified the adaptor - but then it was never produced. He even confirmed that they're not available in Japan.

So his suggestion? "Get some old hockey pucks from the garage"

Then he realized that I live in South Carolina and had no idea what one looks like. Luckily Dick's Sporting goods had plenty of dusty ones in stock for $1 each. I tried cutting one with a circular saw today - but the groove is too narrow. I'll get after it again in a day or two with a hack saw and post pictures when I'm done!

.... oh please tell me you're not serious

but beyond that, this is a really good idea... just make sure you get a puck for ice hockey and not street. Street hockey pucks have all these weird things on it and the plastic is hella hard.

Well, I finally put my hockey pucks to use tonight! I tried cutting a groove in one with a circular saw, but it was too narrow - and the saw had a tendancy to bog down. Probably melting the rubber as it went...

The good news is that the grove is not necessary! They just sort of bend and conform to the profile of the lip on the bottom of the car. Very effective... I'm going to start using them on all of my cars as an added buffer!

Just finished my third oil change in 6,465 and four months! Also rotated the tires for the first time. The first two break-in changes I used dino oil, but this time I switched her over to Mobil 1 extended performance, so I'll go to 4000-4500 oil change intervals now.

In my case there is no groove. The picture shows a puck in the cup of a jack... which is a good idea, but the cup in my jack is too deep for it to work, so I'm still using wood there. I'm actually using the pucks between jack stands and the body of the car when I have it up on jack stands.

I would suggest using a dremel tool to cut the line in the hockey puck. It should be easier to cut the groove out.

If you're using the supplied jack in the trunk you shouldn't need a puck or anything else as it is built with the slot on the jack point. You would technically only need the puck if you're using another jack that you've purchased, such as a floor jack, etc.

Some people cut a groove, some do not. Either way, the puk goes between your jack and your car

Here's another option if you don't want to mess around cutting anything.
moon equipped

And, if you have a floor jack with a removable saddle.....
