I used a router and a 1/2" stright bit, it is not perfect but worked like a charm. I need to make something that will hold the puck so I can make a better cut. Straighter cut

It worked flawless last night on the G35X to install the winter tires

The puck was 99 cents 20 mins to router, worked like a charm=priceless. Not to mention no damage to the body.

Ouch. Please tell me you guys aren't just working on cars supported by Jacks only? All it takes is a bump or a seal failure for the jack to crash down.

Use a jack only to get the car on jackstands, and that's is.

Always worth a reminder on that point...

I'm talking about using these on the jack stands, since the owner's manual or service manual (can't remember which) shows the lift points/jack stand points to be on the crease under the body - which will crush down if you just sit it directly down on the jack stands.

I haven't found that the groove is critical... the ridge just pushes down into the rubber. With that in mind, I think I'd skip cutting the groove just to avoid weakening the hockey puck.
