I think the more appropriate question here is, "Why do so many people choose to street race?" and not to isolate the question to one particular type of owner/vehicle. To do so would be short sighted in light of so many vehicular street racing tragedies.

Let's not knock the NSX. I loved that car when it first came out and still do. I drove my buddy's when he had it and I almost bought it off him. The only thing that stopped me was that we beat the **** out of that car.

It is fast but I can see a G keeping up with one if were talking NA vs NA. Drag or autocross. People think G35 Coupes are slow and heavy. It is not a sports car... it's a sport touring coupe.

I don’t even think the NSX is in the G35C are in the same class, the 08 Nissan GTR will be but not the G35. NSX goes for 90K for a NA Inline 6 even though the car is HOT its just very expensive and it’s in the Exotic Class I Believe. NSX and a Vette is a good race (stock to Stock) and im pretty sure the NSX would only be able to beat it at top Speed. Our G35 Beats your Exotic NSX its a Motha Fuggin Accomplishment which is definitely worth bragging rights.

Sigh.

I've stayed w/ a man and his wife in what looked to be a '92 NSX on the NJ Turnpike with about 480 lbs of human in the car and a half tank of gas. My friend and I were returning from Englishtown (where I had just run like $#it mind you) and we came up on this dirty black nsx weaving. I decided to follow him in the left lane seeing as he was the fastest path through traffic. The traffic cleared and he moved over to get a look at my car (04 6mt btw). My friend gave him a slow down and we did 3 honks and go from 40. He by no means blew us away. We kept almost even until (undisclosed speed) when we shut down. His front fender was at my door the entire way, but that was mostly a factor of launch. If you really care about the rest of the details, PM me.

Oh, the car has K&N panel, Z-tube, and 5/16th Copper Iso Thermal.

dude, what the hell are you talking about. A NSX will run mid 13's stock - like 13.5-13.6. Sure, it will beat a stock G that runs ~14.0 at best usually.

Inline 6 in a Honda product? retard

It is expensive, and a great track car b/c of the balance and handleing.

Vette C6 Z06 tops out above 190mph - base C6 are in the 180's. A NSX is not going to get in the 180s with stock power - best it will get is 160's. retard

Here, do a little reading and try a google search on the topic before saying incorrect **** next time.

My best time in my 2000 NSX is 12.9 at 108!!

My best time in my E46 M3 that is just sold for the G was 13.3 at 106.

On the way to drop off the M3 I raced my G35 a couple of time. (My friend was driving it)

Apples and Oranges. The M3 pulled away so fast I thought my buddy never floored it. (It only has 200 miles on it though)

The NSX is the best car I have EVER owned. ANYONE that talked crap about it has never driving one. PERIOD!

those are correct times for the M3, but I doubt your NSX was bone stock if it was in the 12's.

Your such a dumb ***. It's MY CAR! How dare you tell me what my car is and isn't.

Sorry your pig of a GTO can't even run a 14.0 stock. I go to Moroso twice a month. I don’t LIE. My cars run what they run. PERIOD.

all in all, you get a G for 40k add 20k to it and a 60kG smokes the 80k nsx

Its no surprize that the Honda pulled the plug for the NSX.

all you people need to read the entire post. The only person I was talking to was who I quoted in my response - he is the retard. I actually like the NSX, it is a great car for what it is - much like the G. People who own both make it out to be alot faster than it really is. Neither of them (G35 and NSX) were meant to be fast cars. Well, in 1990, the NSX was actually considered pretty fast - as mid 13's were fast then - it just hasnt changed much in 16 years. Both of the cars were meant to handle better than the other cars in their price range, as well as be cheaper than the other cars they were being compared to. NSX has the exotics, G35 has the Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Cadillac to compete with.
