Mounting a Sirius Sportster display on the NAV screen

Ok, I got this unit and have NOWHERE to mount it. If I put it up on the windshield, then it partially blocks my view. So I popped up my NAV screen and used the suction mounting kit that came with the Sirius unit right on the NAV screen. Does anyone think that would be a problem if I use it long term like that?

Thanks in advance everyone.

Why not just put it by A-pillar like most poeple do out there. Or get it custom mounted where the ashtray goes

I don't think I would stick anything that would put pressure on a delicate and expensive LCD display! Is there a way you could mount it to the back or top of the display? Maybe use doublestick tape on the bottom of the sportster and top of the screen? I don't have Nav so I'm not sure how the angles work. Otherwise I would look for some sort of aftermarket cell phone mount that bolts on to some part of the car.

Being a Sportster, there are aftermarket mounting options available. Not so much with the Starmate Replay (II) that I have. Very limited options. I don't have NAV, so I attached mine to the inside of the NAV cubby-lid. Perfect location for those without NAV, as it's easily hidden from view by closing the compartment lid.

You might try to find one of those mounting brackets that connect via existing dash screws. You'll have to remove some panels to gain access.

Despite proper prep, I never did have much luck with the suction cup or 3M tape staying for long... ...but that was during the summer.

I'm inclined to agree with Q45, bro.....the LCD display is sensitive to pressure and my get messed up.
How about the vent mount that's available for that unit?
