I like to work on my own junk, however like many have said, it depends on the mods.

Im actually thinking about making some adjustable camber arms myself if/when I lower the G.

depends on what the mod is...

i've installed some stuff myself, and the other half professionally done.

Yeah, I went straight to the shop for tint, no way I was gonna do that one. Smart idea.

I've done everything myself so far.
I put the Stillen Sway bars on using jack stands - works fine.
A lift would be nice, but jack stands work fine.

Now, headers I won't do myself.
Also, I won't attempt to fix the fuel hose recall myself, lol.

I love the feeling of doing it myself while saving money. My experience is limited, so there are things I would simply trust a mechanic to do more.

I'm 33, married and have a 4 yr. old boy and 8 mo. old girl, so my time is extremely limited. Having a full or 1/2 day to do something other than family stuff is extremely rare, so I'm pretty much left with having to get everything done somewhere these days, if I want it done soon. If it all gets done in the end, I'm fine with it. I'm working for it all one way or another.

You need an in between option. I've put some of mine on, helped with some of Trey's, and some we have taken to a shop. Up until Christmas we didn't own a jack, jackstands, etc so that kept us from doing some things and I'm not playing with electrical system so someone else did the XM install for me.

I try to do everything short of painting. No shop will pay more attention to detail than yourself. Especially test fitting and everything, it's never perfect unless you do it youself until you are satisfied.

I just installed my philips ultinons 6k this weekend by myself with the help of my brother! Go me! But yeah most things I'll definitely try to do myself. You get a better appreciation knowing you actually know your car and what to do. Not to mention save you money so you can buy other mods Complicated stuff like headers, catbacks, bodykits, etc I let the pros handle.

All my mods were done by me in my garage... Expect for wheels/tires and tint.

thats the best way to put it. Even if you take it to the dealer, theyll probably have their new apprentice or shop bitc do it who doesnt know much more about the install than yourself. its better to do it yourself.

the dealer will charge you about double what a normal shop would charge you. i just do it at my own shop, and if i need help, my mechanics will help me out
