IPod Install

My IPod install. Absolutely LOVE this upgrade

Never mind the coffee stains, and the cup holder is still useful...

Got instructions from http://www.g35ipod.com on how to do it and used some of my own ingenuity.

can your compartment still close while the ipods in it? seems like it would be a pain in the butt to change songs with it in that position or is that a setup which works with the head unit/steering wheel

Can't close compartment while the iPod is plugged in, but its not a big deal to take the iPod out for it's just plugged into the dock. And its really easy to switch songs, for the little black circle you see cut out, is the remote receiver so the whole unit can be controlled by a remote control

Completely forgot to mention that the unit works with the SAT button.

In total it was around $175 for all the gadgets.

Thumbs up

Smooth install Russ. It's looks OEM and the sound is very clear, now we need to put in a screen for the iPod video.
