Group buy for Escort 8500 X50 radar?
I just got off the phone with Escort. If we buy 10 or more we get 10% off each radar. Each one is $299.95 so that would come out to $269.95 for each. Free shipping. The radar is the Passport 8500 X50 in RED. So please reply if you guys are interested in this. Thanks

I just got the BelRX65 Pro and love it! It also picks up POP radar which the V1 doesn't! I believe the Escort also picks up POP as well!

Re: Group buy for Escort 8500 X50 radar?
There have been some posts on it here, but from what I understand it's a newer form of radar which sends out pulses instead of like a normal radar gun that's always on. Supposedly it is more difficult to detect seeing as it is only on for seconds at a time. Something like that anyway! I read up awhile ago on Radar busters or something. Do a search for Radar detectors and a few "test" site will show up. Check them out.

I have not ever gotten a speeding ticket. The V1 picks up all the cops I have encountered on Long Island. It can also be sent back to V1 for programming when it needs to be updated.

Love my 8500, especially when switched to "expert" mode where you can get a reading of the exact radar frequency being picked up - after you get yourself familiar with the various frequencies, you know what's crap and what is, well.... your next ticket....

LOL... G35scBkNy04
Although if you ask me, I don't see any real good benefit of having the arrows. True, it's a nice feature, but if you encounter police, does it really matter where he's located exactly? I just drop my speed as fast as I can, the rest is not really important. I'd much rather know if it's really police rather than slamming on my breaks every time the radars picks up a signal, since most of time it's benign.... If my detector goes off and I know that frequency as being benign I don't even slow down...
But that's my personal opinion. Both detectors are good, and I don't think you can go wrong with any one of them.
