Anyway, I was telling him about our dyno day....yadda yadda and the reason for the lower numbers he said was basically OIL TEMP. Now, I ran min up and down a few times before getting on the dyno so maybe that's why I pulled a lil higher. I know Chuck did as well. He said that the oil cools about 40 or so degress in a matter of 2-3 minutes. When they dyno cars, if they don't have an oil temp gauge, they typically will dyno the car until the HP falls off (oil too hot - not dangerous just not ideal) usually this is about 6-7 times!! Basically he said the reason why we all showed low numbers was due to the not getting the oil temp up to temp! As far as the AFR - he said another problem is that if the probe is not far enough in the exhaust, you will get a lean reading! So there we go gents!
Thanks for the update. Maybe next time we can try to dyno it when it's a bit warmer out there. But, first I'd like to put my hands on SC first. AHEM AHEM.... LMAO
yea thats wierd, i found that out last time that each of my dyno runs got higher and higher.... Before i dynoed i took it for a cruise down the road and back, getting on it the whole time, prob for about 5 mins, I'm sure it was a lot warmer than whos ever cars just started and idled for a little bit be4 dynoing.... thats def a very very good possibility.... Everyone should get a plenum though, thats my only mod that i have that no one else seemed to have, kinetix baby!!! never cracked on me, 400 dollars prob gave me 10 whp....

I was thinking about the awesome numbers you were pulling the other day, and another factor (I'd assume), would be the fact that you're also running on light weight aftermarket wheels.... just a thought

AHah no doubt Drew, i cant wait for this warm weatherrrrrrrr
chuck i put on my plenum spacer the other night, and i dunno if the gain was as much as your kinetix plenum but you definitely feel it for sure...
i need to get another dyno run to see if my numbers improved and if the low numbers i had were a fluke.
