Cool although I am far from installing one myself I figured I would see if anyone has a setup out there that I can look at and gain some ideas from now. I have been seeing a red g35 coupe with intercooler not far from where I live but I dont know who owns it nor if its SC or Turbo, but thanks..

Jason, there's a guy with a white coupe running around the island with a greddy front end and a HUGE intercooler up front. I saw him as he was getting off the LIE ramp and when I got to the light we hit, I was two cars behind him saying to myself should I even bother screwing around with him (after all he must be "boosted") and although I knew I didn't stand a chance, I figured maybe he's an newbie and I could take him on the actual drive rather than on the speed... so I catch up to him and I'm listening with my my windows down for some sign of a charger or turbo, but nothing. No wastegate noise, no spool noise, no nothing and I'm like huh, I think its time to hammer this guy, so I press it and we're neck and neck, going through traffic. Nothing stupid, but then again we're not on our way to grab grocerys either. About 10min into the run, with neither one of us really getting anywhere, I mean I had a little lead, but so did he at times (traffic being the problem), we finaly get to a light next to each other and I ask him what's up with the intercooler and he says, it's just to fill the gap in the bumper and that he's "waiting for his turbo kit".... I just looked at him, and said to my self what a waste!

So the moral of the story is that, Intercoolers have now become an acccessory (eye candy mod). I doubt he even had it "hooked up"...

i guess he shouldnt have put the IC on till he got it tho

i bet if johns car didnt look like it did he may have tried to pass it off like "yea im turbo'd" but in seeing johns car i think he assumed "this dude prolly knows my car isnt pulling like a turbo'd G nor does it sound like one"

If you have serious questions about going FI, talk to Jason or Julian at MRC http://www.racemrc.com/
These guys are always willing to answer some questions. Head down to the Aug 13th meet and you can check out my ride.
